Are you looking around today and wondering,’ what is going on here?’  Let’s face it, this is 2021! We hear talk of unity coming from our leaders.  And let’s face it, we should be moving toward less racial tensions, more peaceful living, and getting along with each other in the globalist society they want to create.  But instead, violence is increasing, racial tensions couldn’t be higher.  We have witnessed one of the most violent racial years across the globe in 2020! Statistics have shown for years that violent crime has been on the rise.  Racial tensions certainly have been in the forefront of the news!

Have you ever thought how different things are today than they used to be, even ten years ago?  Recent events in the news bring tensions to light. The cry for justice when a man was killed by a crooked policeman seemed to spark a summer of non-stop violence that had people up in anger on one side and in fear on the other.  Other than the Protesting, there has been, not only killings, but people being beaten just for the color of their skin.  But riots, burning, death and beatings are not all, what about the conflict around changing the name of the Redskins team because it is offending Native Americans?  Instead of working toward peace, we are moving toward discord and things do not seem to be getting better.  Did you know that all the violence and increased fighting between nationalities are prophesied to happen in the Bible?

When Jesus was here on earth His disciples asked Him how we will know when His coming is near. He gave some signs that we can look for, to show it is near. One example He stated was in Matthew 24:4 “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.”  (ASV)   Now, in order to completely understand this reference to nation against nation, we have to look at the original text. The word for Nation is the Greek work ‘Ethnos’ which means Ethnic or people group. You see, it is not talking about America against England, or Russia against China but it is talking about Ethnicities, like Caucasian, Oriental, African, Latino, etc.  So in the last days, tensions between these people groups would increase, and that is what we are seeing today.

Racism is completely against the Biblical world view. Have you ever wondered how all the people groups got here?  Well, I take the Bible to be God’s word, and as such, I believe what it says to be true. So back in Genesis God created one man and one woman, Adam and Eve. Now, they had to be one color, right?  What color they were is to be debated, but my personal opinion is a light skinned brown.  Anyway, before sin, their genes were perfect, no mutations. Then they sinned and corrupted the system.  So, genes were corrupted as well. And Mutations started coming into play.

A few chapters into Genesis in chapter 11, we read about the Tower of Babel. Now, God came down and mixed up the languages (hence we have different languages) and so all the people were forced from there with like speaking people. From that gene pool they took with them traits that eventually came out in them. Curly or strait hair, wide or thin noses, thick or thin lips, you get the picture. Well skin color is among these traits. Skin tone is a chemical called Melanin, and it is the amount of it you have in your body that determines the lightness or darkness of your skin color.  The less melanin you have the lighter skinned toned you are. An example would be, as we age we have less of it, and if you look at an older person, no matter his or her ethnicity, he/she will look lighter skinned.

So you see, all the fighting over “race” is really over a chemical we all have.  It is just some of us have more of it than others.  It is Society that creates the conflict between people groups.  If we could see what God sees, none of us would be “racist”. He created every human being in His image. We are special, and none of us deserve to be treated less than that. Jesus came to die for all of us, like the child’s song, red, yellow; black and white we are all precious in His sight.

My friend, these are the last days, and time is too short not to share the love of God. We need to show brotherly love to all men.  Who is our brother? The Bible tells us in Romans 12:9-10, “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor.” (ASV)

Won’t you pray now and ask Him into your life?
